Table Salt and Your Health

Many people believe that table salt or regular table salt is much healthier than sea salt. The facts show otherwise.

Table salt contains more salt than most other table ingredients. Table salt contains mostly sodium chloride, which is a high-sodium compound found in large quantities in seawater. Salt is added to processed foods because it is soluble in water, and it is not impacted in a significant way by the addition of enzymes, antioxidants, or any of the other “good” stuff that helps to protect the body from damage caused by free radicals.

The more table salt contains, the more it becomes rancid. As food ages, most table salts become even more depleted of healthy, natural minerals, and they lose their effectiveness as food preservatives. Sea salt is different. It contains many trace minerals that are beneficial to the human body and have been shown to be particularly effective in keeping us healthy.

Sea salt also contains the essential fatty acids that our bodies need to perform at peak levels. Sea salts are high in potassium, magnesium, and sodium. Potassium and magnesium to help maintain normal blood pressure and heart rate, and potassium helps prevent muscle cramps and spasms.

Sea salt contains a great deal of the nutrients and vitamins that we need to maintain good health. Sea salts are rich in zinc and magnesium, which are essential for building and repairing connective tissues and bone tissue. Sea salts also provide essential electrolytes and trace elements for proper blood function.

Sea salt also contains trace elements like copper, iron, and manganese, which have been shown to have anti-cancer properties. Copper is important in making hemoglobin and red blood cells, and manganese is important for cell metabolism. These trace elements are vital for immune system health. It is believed that many types of cancer can be prevented or slowed down by eating a diet high in sea salt.

Table salt contains a lot of calories, too. A teaspoon of table salt contains about 70 calories, while a teaspoon of sea salt contains only five.

Table salt can cause a lot of health problems if you do not consume a balanced diet containing a variety of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and low-fat dairy products, as well as sea salt.

When you eat table salt, you are actually taking in refined sugars, which can be very harmful. Refined sugar includes any type of refined sugar, including brown rice syrup, white bread, white rice syrup, and sugar substitutes such as fruit juice concentrate and sugar-free candy. Sugars are not naturally occurring, so they are not good for you. Instead, you should eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and low-fat dairy foods that contain healthy unsaturated fats.

Sea salt, on the other hand, provides many minerals, enzymes, vitamins, and nutrients. It contains calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, and potassium. It also contains antioxidants that fight free radicals and other free-radical activity that can damage your cells and cause health problems. Sea salts also contain a number of trace elements that help regulate blood sugar levels.

Sea salt also contains a large amount of magnesium and sodium, both of which are good for the heart. Sea salts contain trace amounts of thiamine, niacin, and lysine.

Sea salt also contains iodine and boron. If you eat table salt, your body may not absorb these essential nutrients from foods that contain them. You must take a supplement, to receive the mineral and nutrient levels your body needs.

So whether you are eating processed foods, or a variety of fresh produce, or sea salt, make sure you get enough protein, enough calcium, and plenty of vegetables, and fruits, and low-fat dairy products. It is also important to drink a lot of water. Eating lots of water will ensure your body receives all the minerals and nutrients that it needs to keep your skin, hair, and nails strong and healthy.
