U18 Music Comp

As of 29th August 2016 entries are closed for the September markets - thank you for the overwhelming response and make sure you head down to Yamba on the 4th Sunday in September to enjoy the music!

Can you sing or play an instrument? Could you fill a 15 minute time slot with music to perform live?

The competition is open to musicians (solo or groups) in years 7-12 who are available to perform at

Yamba River Markets on either Sunday 28 August or Sunday 25 September.

Judging will be made on musical talent, sound, crowd participation.

There will be a first, second, third and fourth place awarded and the winners will be invited to perform in an allocated area at this year's Surfing The Coldstream Festival on Saturday 15 October. The overall winner who takes first place in the busking competition, will be headlining the busking space and will be invited to perform a live acoustic number and interview at local community radio TLC 100.3FM on the morning of the festival.

All entrants to the competition will be promoted via our social media channels and the overall winner will be promoted on the Surfing The Coldstream Festival website, e-newsletter and in local newspapers.

This is a fantastic platform for you as performers to gain experience and perform live for your friends and family, we encourage you all to enter and take this opportunity to gain further exposure as local up and coming musicians. The heats will be a family friendly environment and hope to see as many locals there as possible.

To enter, simply complete the form on the right and we'll be in touch!
