Cultural Art Walk
The 2011 Essential Energy ‘Cultural Art Walk’ exhibition, an outdoor art exhibition which showcased forms of art such as paintings, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, photography, ceramics, and jewellery. The exibition was a celebration of cultures within our beautiful Clarence Valley all joining together through art. The exhibition was displayed outside in conjunction with the festival program.
Terms and Conditions
How to enter:
• Eligibility: Open to all artists. A $30 fee will be charged per site. This will be payable after confirmation of site has been given. Cheques are to be made out to Live Prawn Productions Inc and sent to the below address. Alternately a bank transfer can be made –Account name: Live Prawn Productions BSB number: 704328, Account number: 825340.Reference: Artist or Group name. All artists must complete application form including signing and dating the terms and conditions. If a site is to be shared, only one application form is needed but each artist must also sign and date it. Live Prawn Productions reserves the right not to accept all entries. Please make sure all details are correct and clearly written as this information may be used for marketing purposes. All forms must be received at the address below by 3pm Friday 16th September 2011. Your artwork MUST NOT require electricity in order for it to be displayed. Confirmation of acceptance will be given by phone or email by Friday 23rd September 2011. Sale of Artworks:
• The artist/s must take complete responsibility for their site and sale transactions, from the beginning until the end of the exhibition on Saturday 15th October 2011.
Dimensions of display space
• The festival can provide hanging space, in the form of builder’s fences but artists requiring tables and other display units will have to provide their own. The space given to each artist/s is approx. 4 metres in length with a depth of approx. 3 metres. For artists wanting to hang works, the hanging fences that can be supplied are 2.65 metres long and 1.8 metres high. Two fences can be supplied per site, joined in the centre and displayed in a slight V shape for stability .The Artist/s may choose how many works they wish to display within this area, but quality must come before quantity. The curator reserves the right to remove work from the exhibition.
Preparation of Artwork:
• Work must be ready for exhibition. i.e., mounted and framed (if necessary) with hanging devices attached. The artist/s need to bring their own hanging material and tools. The festival will supply some S Hooks for hanging with the builder’s fences if required. The artist’s name, addresses and phone number, title of work, price or not for sale must be clearly marked on the back of each work.
Delivery and Collection:
• All works must be hand delivered and set up at Flinders Park in Yamba, on Saturday 15th October 2011 between the hours of 11am and 1pm. The display and hanging of artwork is the responsibility of the artist/s of each site. All works must be removed the site on Saturday 15th October 2011 between the hours of 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
• Disclaimer: Live Prawn Productions takes no responsibility for loss and damage of artwork at any time including the period of installation, exhibition and pack up. The artist warrants that the work entered is a distinct and an original artwork created and owned by the artist presenting. The artist indemnifies the exhibitor against any breach of copyright. All works displayed must be of a quality to be determined by the curator, whose decision is final.
