Yaegl Country Mini-Tours

Uncle Ron Heron is a Yaegl man from Yamba. This local tour will look at some modern and pre-modern campsites in the area, touch on local bushfoods and medicines, and visit some other key local Aboriginal sites.


Along with an Associate Diploma in Aboriginal Studies and degrees from the ANU in archaeology and anthropology, Uncle Ron has been awarded a Doctor of Letters from Macquarie University. He has a lifetime of knowledge of the local area and is experienced in giving people insight into life in Yaegl country.


$50 per head. Includes Morning / Afternoon tea. Minimum 5 persons required to run tour. Suitable for 16 years and over.

Paul and Anne have grown up on the Clarence River and love the outdoor life.

Paul has paddled and explored most of the Clarence River estuary as a kayaker and nature lover. His knowledge of the local area history and bird life is extensive.
